Kleine Unterschiede zu den nordamerikanischen New Balance-Werksprodukten liegen darin, in der Regel weichere Materialien zu verwenden. Urspr\u00fcnglich wurde er 1989 als Performance-Runner auf den Markt gebracht, zun\u00e4chst noch in den USA produziert. Erst sp\u00e4ter zog die Produktionsst\u00e4tte nach Flimby um, wo der Schuh (mit einige Ausnahmen in den letzten 10 Jahren) von Hand gefertigt wird.
