In summer 2014, the adidas icons Gary Aspden and Mike Chetcuti heard about a little sneaker shop in Argentina which sells ancient adidas sneakers. Without further ado, the British duo together with Ian Brown (Musician/Stone Roses), Robert Brooks (collector), Neil Bedford (Photographer), Greg Bond (film maker) decided to visit this mysterious place. They traveled to Argentina and found the incredible story of Carlos Ruiz who collected hundreds of rare sneaker in his little shop. The trip was documented in the now renowned Documentary ‘Sole Searching in South America’ which you can find down below.

A number of the rare archive pieces brought back from this trip have been used by adidas to design a new adidas Originals Collection. One of them is this adidas New York in this classic colorway.
