adidas A-ZX Serie
Finally the time has come - adidas hits the streets with the long awaited A-ZX collection!
In 1984 adidas changed the world of footwear forever. Launching its first ever running franchise, the ZX series, the brand showed that performance sneakers could elevate runners of all types and abilities. Revered by running purists and sneaker enthusiasts alike, ZX quickly became a modern icon. So, now it's time to pay homage the unforgotten ZX greats and to celebrate their legacy.
After the first A-ZX collection was already released in 2008 as a tribute to the iconic sneaker range, adidas Originals is putting the ZX range back into the sneaker spotlight in 2020. Then and now the Three Stripes will drop 26 ZX sneakers in the month to come. Why 26 though? - Pretty simple: There’s one for every letter in the alphabet! Whether strong retro-combacks from the archives or dope collabos - we can look forward to some outstanding ZX-styles in the near future!
In contrast to the A-ZX series from 2008, the releases 2020 do not follow an alphabetical order. That's why the new A-ZX series kicks off officially with the letter »R« standing for »Retro« on August 7th. Behind this letter there is the first ever re-release of the ZX 1000C from the late 80’s. The second drop of the A-ZX Series is also about to hit streets in August 2020: The adidas ZX 8000 Superstar represents the letter »S« with a shell-toe design.
