43einhalber: Sneaker review 2023

As we do every year at this time, we would like to summarize which releases our 43einhalb crew really celebrated. Here are our favorites for 2023!
Here are the 43einhalb crew’s favorite 2023 sneakers:

Mischa

Al-Bundy

Nike Air Max 1 `86 „Big Bubble“

»For me the revision of one of the all time classics with the AM1 1986 »Big Bubble« for the Air Max Day 2023. Colors, revision and packaging on point!«

adidas Hiaven SPZL „Timber Carboard”

»The adidas SPZL series and its story with one of my favorite actors Stephen Graham in Iceland really hit me in the beginning of 2023. Gary Aspden’s story about the Hiaven SPZL gave me the final kick. Also, the Hiaven reminds me a lot of my adidas x Gwarizm »Molly« and so it became a »shoe« for me.«

New Balance x Action Bronson 990V6 Baklava & Lapis Lazuli
»For me, both shoes are one and represent the common III place. The whole story around it and the on-site activation in Paris put these two in my personal Top III 2023.«

Jannik

Salomon XT-6 Gore-Tex

»Finally found a comfortable shoe with Gore-Tex in nice colors for rainy days.«

Nike V2K Run

»I really enjoyed wearing the V2K in the summer. Simple bright colors, comfortable, good style.«

Asics SportStyle GT-2160

»The same goes for the 2160, a great everyday running shoe.«

Luisa

Lu

New Balance BBW550FB

»I prefer to wear the 550s with casual jeans looks. This shoe is a must-have in my sneaker wardrobe.«

New Balance  MR530AA

»I like to wear the New Balance 530 with sporty outfits. The 530 not only looks sporty, but is also a comfortable sneaker for long trips. «

Nike WMNS Dunk Low SE »Hangul Day«

»My favorite for this year. I love the upper and the color combination. My favorite for summer days.«

Alena

Lenilicious aka Buttermädchen

Birkenstock Boston

»At first glance a real granny slipper, but with baggy jeans one of my favorites this year.«

New Balance 530

»Just like last year, the perfect summer sneaker. Thanks to its Mesa upper it is super breathable and just looks cool.«

Adidas Gazelle Bolt

»I just love the color combination and the rubber platform sole makes the shoe perfect. «

Lukas

God of Color Match aka Gucci Mane-Beauftragter

Asics Gel Kayano 14 „White Pure Silver“

»This is simply the perfect summer sneaker that has captured the spirit of the year and is super comfortable to wear.«

adidas x Wales Bonner »Pony Leo Samba«

»Leopard print on a sneaker, no matter what kind, always attracts me somehow, as long as it’s done well. That was the case here, samba hype or not.«

New Balance M1906DC „Protection Pack“

»There have been enough »protection packs« over the years, but this pair has been a favorite of mine this year. Not only does the shoe look great, but for a white suede sneaker, the pair is relatively robust and has been in frequent rotation.«

Paula

adidas Samba OG

»I had to jump on this trend. The silhouette is super slim and simple, so they go with almost any outfit!«

Nike Terminator Low

»If you are looking for a cool alternative to the Dunk Low with even more retro accents, check out the Terminator Low. The combination of black, beige and dark brown, the different materials and the big »Nike« lettering on the heel make this shoe even more interesting – and it’s so easy to mix and match!«

 adidas Handball Spezial

»Since this year has been so colorful, a little color is a must! The adidas Handball Special will add some excitement to your outfit and I don’t think I need to say anything about the classic silhouette – mega shoe!«

Christian

Perle

Flowers for Society – Seed. One King Saladeen

»Just an ultra-comfortable silhouette, a wonderful collab with the talented artist whose »Money Bear« I simply adore.«

Flowers for Society – Radicle OG

»The second silhouette from the pen of Till Jagla, mega comfortable and first is white, what can I say almost every day on the foot therefore deserves number 2.«

Flowers for Society – Seed.One »Daisy«

»The third member of the team is also from Flowers. Why is it number 3? It’s the first blind drop sneaker I ever bought and I wasn’t disappointed. I just loved the idea of a blind drop, then the storytelling and the artwork, the ability to decide step by step when to buy, and the increasing prices depending on the level of information make the whole thing perfect for me. As well as the Seed. One, the silhouette I had the most/almost only on my foot this year, closely followed by the Radicle Low, so clearly number 3.«

Carl

Carlinho

Salomon XT-6

»A Salomon should not be missing from any sneaker review of the year. The perfect blend of stylish sneaker and quality comfort.«

Autry Dallas Low

»I was missing the right sneaker for our event with Autry and Rimini this September. With the Dallas Low, I now have the perfect casual sneaker that goes with any outfit.«

New Balance U990GL4 – Made in USA

»After the 990v3, the 990v4 was a must-have in my shoe closet. It is hard to find a more timeless sneaker.«
