Presented to the running scene at Honululu Marathon in 1978, the Air Tailwind was released in 1979 and revolutionized running! The Tailwind was the first shoe ever to have a built in air unit. At that time, test-runners didn’t want to give back their prototypes because of the whole new feeling of running in them. Looking back at the history of Nike Air it’s not hard to tell that the Air Tailwind is definitely one of the most important sneakers of all times!

In 2018, Nike Sportswear brings back the iconic Air Tailwind. The retro stays very close to the OG with materials such as suede, mesh and leather. The characteristic 80s waffle outsole rounds off the retro!
