CLAE was founded in Los Angeles in 2001 and is a brand that pays special attention to material quality, workmanship, wearing comfort and its ecological footprint. Their trainers are characterized by minimalism, clean lines and timelessness.

In the production of the shoes, particular attention is paid to a sustainable and social manufacturing process. In the meantime, 1/3 of the current collection already consists of no components of animal origin. Through upcycling and the use of vegan alternative materials, the aim is to maximise this quota. In addition, attention is paid to low water consumption and the avoidance of chemicals and allergens in dyes during production.

CLAE has some notable collaborations, such as with the 'SEAQUAL INITATIVE', a community initiative working to rid the oceans of plastic waste, or 'Isa Tatnec', a global leader in sustainable leather innovation.
