Karhu x STAN RAY Fusion XT "Invite Your Friends"

This fall, KARHU is excited to introduce Invite your Friends, a bold new campaign built around our latest special project with American workwear brand Stan Ray. Invite your Friends is a celebration of community, friendship, and the relationships that inspire collaboration.

The KARHU x Stan Ray Fusion XT brings Finnish performance heritage together with American industrial grit. Built for those who move with purpose, the silhouette blends technical craftsmanship with everyday style through the use of Hickory Stripe denim.

Hickory Stripe denim has long been stitched into the fabric of American workwear—specifically the overalls and grease-stained chore coats of railway men. At Stan Ray, hickory stripe means years of wear, a process of ageing and fading that results in unique versions of the hickory patina.

Over time, these resulting fades and wear patterns gave us inspiration to run custom, colourful desaturated hickory tones, flipping the deep indigo and natural stripe into something more playful and colourful.

This reimagining maintains the grit but softens the edge, an aesthetic that compliments KARHU’s Fusion XT because of its use of pastel tones on what is a robust functional cross trainer from the 90s era that was famous for its de-saturated pastel tones.
