Designed for the court, born for the street - the Puma California

It all started with tennis legend Guillermo Vilas in the late 70s. In collaboration with the feline from Herzogenaurach, he began to create a series of tennis sneakers. One of these silhouettes became known as the California sneaker. After its debut in 1982, the California quickly gained fame as the Terrace sneaker, bridging the tennis and soccer world. At the time, Puma dubbed the sneaker as a universal indoor/outdoor training shoe that drew attention for its air-permeable mesh nylon material and sole. The sole contained two degrees of hardness, with the part that hits the ground first being softer than the rest. However, thanks to its low-lying construction and relaxed design, the shoe was also popular in the street style scene. Now the sneaker is back - with a renewed design and a brand new name!

After her first appearance in a Puma campaign in August 2019, singer Selena Gomezis the face of the latest Puma Cali. And it doesn't stop at just one model.
