The Nike React Ianga »The 10th« salutes to Nike´s founding father, Bill Bowerman. Serving as a major in the army’s 10th Mountain Devision during World War II, Bowman and his men scaled snowy mountains in Italy fighting for the Allied cause. A small tab on the upper is embroidered with »The 10th«, immortalizing Bowerman´s heroics.

Inspired by Bowerman´s story, the Ianga is designed with the sock-like elements of both a military jungle boot and a street runner. The black, brown and beige color scheme on the upper, leather toe boxes and waxes laces introduce the Ianga as a unique, military-inspired expression of the React family. There’s only a single swoosh present on each shoe, and it´s placed at the bottom of the throats lace overlay. The instantly recognizable React midsole with a plethora of gum and a single pop of light grey completes the look.

The Nike React Ianga is a sneaker that blends the sensibilities of a hiking boot with the stylings of popular silhouettes like the React Element 55 and React Element 87.
