In 1920, the Dassler brothers started manufacturing their first sport shoes in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria. Because of their excellent quality, Dassler shoes quickly came to a high reputation among athletes and therefore helped Jesse Owens, to win his four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics.
